Healthy Heart App Challenge
You can take an active role in reducing your risk for heart disease by eating a healthy diet, engaging in physical activity, and managing your cholesterol and blood pressure. Join the Healthy Heart App Challenge and meet the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, to capture at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours) of moderate intensity aerobic activity each week in February!
Goal: Track in the app a minimum of 150 minutes of aerobic activity every week to promote February being Heart Health Month.
Participants receive points towards Y App Rewards for joining and completing the challenge!
How to register: Visit the Challenges tile on our phone app. Select "Healthy Heart Challenge" then select "Join Challenge". Don’t have our free phone app? Download it today by searching "River Crossing YMCA" in the Google Play or Apple App store.
Tip: By linking your wearable apps to the Y app, such as Fitbit, MyZone, Garmin, or Runkeeper, your tracked workouts will automatically be uploaded to the Y app without needing to manually enter them in!
