7th Grade Initiative
Providing all 7th Graders in Bucks, Hunterdon, Lehigh and Northampton Counties a free, donor-supported annual teen membership to develop healthy exercise habits and positive relationships in a safe, welcoming environment. 7th Grade Initiative launches in July to to all rising 7th Graders and concludes at the end of June the following year. Enrollment remains open throughout this time. Enrollment is available at all membership branches.
Ability Programs + Life After 21
River Crossing YMCA offers adapted activities for youth, teens, and adults that include swim lessons, land fitness classes, one-on-one fitness instruction, karate, summer camp, teen nights and afterschool programs as well as Life After 21, a full-day young adult day program where participants engage in activities supporting health and wellness, access to our community, job skill exploration, and more.
Allentown Warming Station
The Warming Station in the Allentown YMCA provides shelter, food, and a safe place for those experiencing homelessness in the Lehigh Valley community. Our Warming Station guests will always find themselves greeted with kindness and a safe place to sleep. The Allentown Branch’s Warming Station provides a safe place to sleep and a dignified sense of community for neighbors in need.
Bethlehem Affordable Housing
Welcome to the Bethlehem Affordable Housing Program, where we provide safe, comfortable, and affordable living options for individuals in the heart of Bethlehem. Our facilities offer a range of accommodations including furnished single rooms, efficiency apartments, and units designed for individuals with disabilities.
Empower U
A free, donor-supported 6-week wellness program for teen girls age 12-15, designed to strengthen self-esteem, positive relationships and self-reliance.
Program runs fall, spring and summer in Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, and Quakertown.
Feeding Programs
The YMCA offers a variety of feeding programs to support local communities throughout our service area including traditional community dinner programs, breakfast and lunch programs to child care students and free produce programs.
Healthy Horizons
A free, donor-supported 12-week program designed to support adults in the mental health recovery process through exercise, mindfulness and social connection within the nurturing space of the YMCA.
Program runs in fall, winter and spring in Allentown, Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, and Quakertown.
Healthy Lifestyles
A free, donor-supported 12-week program, open to all adults who have been notified by their health care provider that they are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes; focusing on lifestyle/behavior modification through exercise, nutrition and social connection.
Program runs in fall, winter and spring in Allentown, Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, Quakertown.
NORM Running Program
In partnership with local group homes and our judicial system, participants ages 12 and older are guided through goal-setting, training and behavioral health coaching in preparation to run a 5K.
The program runs seasonally during the spring, summer at Doylestown.
Safety Around Water
A donor-supported summer swim education program that teaches children how to be safe around water to reduce youth drowning local and national statistics; includes water testing and a free 8-week learn to swim experience.
Program runs seasonally during the summer at Camp Carr, Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, Holland and Quakertown.
Senior Community Hub
Our YMCA Senior Community Hub provides fitness, physical and mental wellness, nutrition and social activities for seniors. Senior Community Hubs serve as a gathering space that connects older adults to resources that can increase their quality of life.
Program runs in the Lehigh Valley region.
Stand Up
Stand Up is a free, donor-supported 6-week program designed for young men (ages 12-15) to enhance their self-image through exercise, learning to cultivate positive relationships, and developing self-reliance.
Program runs in fall, spring and summer Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, and Quakertown.
THRIVE Cancer Wellness
A free 12-week, donor-supported program to support cancer survivors with an evidence-based cancer health and wellness program. Participants focus on recovering and maintaining strength, endurance and an overall sense of well-being.
Program runs in fall, winter, and spring in Doylestown, Fairless Hills, and Quakertown.
Veterans Wellness
A free, donor-supported 12-week program for military veterans and their families. The program nurtures health, wellness and social connection through individualized exercise training, nutrition and mindfulness within the group setting.
Program runs in fall, winter, spring and summer at Allentown, Deer Path, Doylestown, Fairless Hills, Quakertown, and Warminster.
We All Wheel
A staff-led, donor-supported youth wheelchair basketball program that includes drills, practice and games. We All Wheel is a fun and challenging opportunity for physically disabled youth and their able-bodied peers to play together. Wheelchairs and instruction are provided as well!
Program runs seasonally in Doylestown.
