Maximize your YMCA membership with National Membership, giving you access to participating YMCAs across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Enjoy fitness, recreation, and wellness opportunities wherever you go, all through your home YMCA.
Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States and Puerto Rico through membership at your home YMCA.
Membership Reciprocity Policies
Before using your Nationwide Membership, review these important guidelines to ensure a smooth visit to any participating YMCA.
- Valid for active, full facility YMCA members (insurance memberships and Silver Sneakers do not qualify)
- Nationwide member visitors must use their home Y at least 51% of the time (on a monthly basis)
- Program-only participants and special memberships are not eligible for Nationwide Membership
- Make sure the Y offers the services and amenities you plan to use
- Bring a photo ID with you for your visit
- You will be asked to sign a waiver when visiting another Y location
Policies vary by location, but your first visit to a non-home YMCA may include an intake process with a membership form, photo, ID check, and national sex offender registry screening. Your home YMCA membership will also be verified, and members must use their home Y for at least 50% of their total visits.
