Life After 21 is a full-day young adult day program where participants engage in activities supporting health and
wellness, access to our community, job skill exploration and more. Participants can choose to attend 1, 3 or 5 days a
week, from 9 AM-4 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions about Life After 21
Life After 21 is a full-day young adult day program (for ages 21-30) where participants engage in activities supporting health and wellness, access to our community, job skill exploration and more.
The program hours are from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
Life After 21’s primary location will be at the Doylestown YMCA utilizing the main building, Teen Center, Club House, and other amenities.
This program will also explore the community and spend time within the Doylestown community, and will either walk into town or travel using Doylestown DART.
Activities are based on participant’s goals and interests. Each day, there will be a component of exercise, including but not limited to, using the wellness center, participating in a group exercise class, or swimming. Other components of the day may include community outings, volunteer opportunities, group activities, and recreational activities. Communication will be sent out to registered families regarding activities, drop off and pick up locations, etc.

Life After 21 is a private pay program. Financial assistance is available thanks to the generosity of our donors. Please find more information about the financial assistance program here:
Financial Assistance Information
The YMCA is not able to provide one-on-one support for feeding, toileting, or behavioral needs. Individual assistants will need to be provided by the family.
Please note: Our staffing ratio is 1 staff per 6 students (at maximum). There will always be a minimum of 2 YMCA staff present at the program.
Please pack the following for your participant:
- Daily lunch, snack(s) and a refillable water bottle
- Bathing suit, towel, goggles, shower shoes/flip flops for swim days
- Sneakers and comfortable clothes for physical activities
- A state issued ID and debit card daily
- Any other needs will be communicated in advance.
Yes! When you enroll in Life After 21, you are enrolling for September 2024 to August 2025.
