Dream through STEAM - Build the Future

Monday, 3:30PM
Grades 1-2, Whitehouse and Three Bridges Schools

Through science, technology, engineering and math, students will be guided through a process of imagination, creation,and construction using building resources including Legos, K’nex, magnets and more. Students will document and reflect on their work through discussion and writing prompts. Results will provide a glimpse of our future through the eyes of our youth.

Bookworms

Wednesday and Thursday, 3:30PM
Grades 2-3, Whitehouse and Three Bridges Schools

Each week, the instructor reads a book to the class, followed by an arts and crafts project or writing prompt related to the book. This program enhances storytelling, creativity, and reading comprehension skills.

STEAM Survivor

Wednesday, 2:30PM, Grades 4-5, Holland Brook

Join us for this scenario-based STEAM club focusing on team-building, problem solving and critical thinking! In STEAM Survivor, the class embarks on an expedition to explore a remote, undocumented desert island. After setting up camp near the beach, their boat catches fire and is destroyed, seemingly stranding them on the island. Students must work together in teams to survive and hopefully escape!

Minecraft Club

Wednesday, 2:30PM, Grades 4-5, Holland Brook School

Uses Minecraft for Education to enhance learning with an engaging approach. Students delve into the International Space Station, design pixel art, and collaborate on projects across STEAM fields. Weekly sessions begin with a STEAM topic introduction, leading to Minecraft exploration. Students document and reflect on their creations using the in-game Journal and Camera features.

The Write Stuff

Thursday, 2:30PM, Grades 4-5, Holland Brook School

Students explore literature and writing through various activities, fostering an appreciation for reading and writing. They work on creative writing, short stories, and even create mini-plays.
