Hello YMCA Camp Families,
I hope this email finds you well. We are excited that camp is just around the corner. Our camp teams are in full preparation mode planning for an awesome summer. Our theme weeks are set, BIG plans are in place for special events, craft and sport orders are arriving daily, and our 2023 staff team is about to start their pre-camp training.
With all that said, we wanted to connect with you to remind you of a few items that we need from you as well as share some resources that will help you be informed and ready for your campers first day.
PARENT TOOL KIT:
<Sign-up for your camp text message alerts> This is tailored specifically to the camp your child attends as well the week(s) they attend. You will only receive information about your camp and specific to the weeks your camper is signed up for.
Sign-up for your camps Facebook page. These groups are closed to camp families only and require permission to join. We know not everyone is on Facebook. This is simply another platform to share information.
2023 Camp Parent Handbook - This contains all the information you need to know about our camps to prepare you and your camper for day one.
- Note: If you need AM/ PM care check to make sure they are registered.
- Register for additional weeks of camp or add AM/ PM care via this form.
Change and cancellation request form - If you need to cancel or make a change to your campers schedule please <use this form>.
Submit Immunization Records - The state of NJ requires all camps to have campers immunization records on file. Please submit your camper's records promptly if you have not already done so.
Permission to medicate form. If your camper requires medication to be administered at camp please complete this form.
Sign-up for a Snack Bar online account (Camp Carr and Deer Path only) - Campers will be able to visit the snack bar throughout the week. Campers in afternoon camp will visit daily. Signing up for a snack bar card allows you to see what your camper is spending, set limits, and add money anytime. Please note there are no refunds. Please do not overload your campers card. You can always add more.
We are hopeful that this tool kit helps you. There will be more information coming as we get closer to camp beginning. The next communication will be your campers pick-up cards. They will arrive in the mail. These cards are used daily to identify the appropriate person picking up. The communication will include information about how pick-up cards work. You will also be receiving an email communication the week before each session begins. This will include all the information you need for the upcoming week and all the fun stuff we have planned.
We are here for you. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
Thanks for choosing our Y for your child's summer camp experience.
Kindest Regards,
Andy Cogen
