Buckster, Mascot
Buckster was born and raised in Bucks County, PA. Two years ago, he graduated with honors from High School and has been working towards his Bachelor’s Degree in Fun with a minor in Hugs and High-Fives at the very prestigious YMCA University. This will be Buckster’s second summer at the YMCA. He made such an impact last summer that at the Staff Awards Night, “The Buckster,” was named in his honor. Buckster is most excited to meet all of the campers and dance with everyone to his favorite camp line dance, “Waka Waka.” Buckster loves playing Gaga at Holland, swimming at Quakertown, skateboarding in Doylestown, making art projects at Cabrini, exploring nature in New Hope and his all-time favorite camp memory is greeting campers in the morning but he always hates saying goodbye in the afternoon. Buckster can’t wait for his first summer at Palisades. Fun Fact: Buckster lives under the Teen Center at the Doylestown YMCA!
Doylestown Summer Camp Staff
Taylor Jermyn
Advanced Director of Youth Development
Taylor has worked in the YMCA movement for five years, and this will be her third summer at Camp Bucks | Doylestown. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii, but has a passion for working with children. Taylor’s favorite Camp Bucks memory is the Talent Show.
Fun Fact: Taylor’s favorite camp game is Pillo Pollo, and her Kona Ice order is always Watermelon Wave.
Kaitlyn Stevens
Associate Director of Ability and Camp
Kaitlyn has been involved in Camp and Ability Programs at our YMCA for many years. She has been a camper since 2009 and a staff member since 2015. Kaitlyn attended Gwynedd Mercy University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Studies with a minor in Special Education. Her favorite camp memory is the Penny Carnival, and her favorite camp game is Look Up, Look Down. When Kona Ice visits camp, her go-to flavor is Monster Mango.
Joey Milillo
Assistant Site Director
This will be Joey’s 5th summer working at Camp Bucks | Doylestown, and he has been been a camper here since he was 9 years old. Joey will be attending Lynn University studying International Business Management this fall. His favorite camp game is Refrigerator Tag, and his favorite camp treat is Kona Ice! Joey’s favorite camp memory is meeting his best friends here at camp.
Tom Boyd
Sports & Specialty Camp Coordinator
Tom graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics. He is currently enrolled in Missouri University’s Master Program in Educational Psychology. This will be Tom’s third summer at Camp Bucks, and he has worked at many summer camps in previous summers. Tom is looking forward to being back at camp! Fun Fact: Tom’s favorite flavor of ice cream is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and he has been teaching mathematics for eight years!
Jimmy Knepp
Sports Camp Supervisor
Jimmy is currently a junior marketing major at Widener University. This summer will be his 9th at Camp Bucks | Doylestown! Jimmy was a CIT for three years, and a staff member for 7. His favorite camp activity is doing the dances at opening and closing ceremonies, and his favorite camp food is Pizza Friday. Jimmy’s favorite camp memory is winning the spirit stick with Sports Camp in the summer of 2020. “All my campers were so involved and full of spirit the whole time leading up to hearing that we won, and seeing the happiness and excitement on their faces was amazing.”
Ellyn Case
Frogs Lead Supervisor
Ellyn is excited for her first summer at Camp Bucks but is no stranger to our Y Families. Ellyn has been our Stay & Play Supervisor for the past 5 years and has over 30 years of experience working with children. She is most excited to hear campers laugh this summer and making new memories. Fun Fact: Ellyn is shorter than most 6th graders but preschools think she’s tall. She also loves all ice cream flavors but her ultimate choice would be peanut butter ripple.

Melanie Spratt
Camp Administrator
Melanie graduated from Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Business Administration. Melanie has been with our Y for 16 years, and is looking forward to working with families in our community to ensure each camper has the best summer camp experience!
Fun Fact: Melanie’s favorite ice cream flavor is Peanut Butter, and her favorite camp memory is the annual Talent Show!
Catherine Refice
Associate Director of Financial Assistance
Catherine attended LaSalle University earning a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management and Psychology. Catherine has been with our Y and a valued member of our Camp Leadership team for 18 years. Catherine is at camp each Monday morning, and is excited to see opening ceremonies and another summer of fun! Fun Fact: Catherine’s favorite ice cream flavor is Black Cherry!
