App Challenge: Move More. Stress Less.

App Challenge: Move more. Stress less.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month in May
May 1 - May 31
You can take an active role in improving your overall physical and mental well-being by including daily walks in your regular routine. Walking improves your mood, reduces stress, burns calories to maintain or obtain a healthy weight, lowers blood pressure to improve heart health, boosts cognitive function, stimulates digestion, improves your sleep and so much more!
Let’s walk together to benefit our hearts, bodies and minds. Remember, exercise is one of the best ways to keep your body healthy and release stress. Grab a friend, your dog, a favorite playlist or podcast, or simply walk in silent reflection and let’s get walking!
Goal: Embrace the many benefits of intentional daily movement by tracking in the Y app a minimum of 100 miles (approx. 3.5 miles or approx. 8000 steps per day) over four weeks to make daily walks a regular part of your wellness routine. *Miles counted towards the challenge will be limited to no more than 7 miles per day.
- RCY: Participants receive 5 points towards Y App Rewards for joining and 10 app points for completing the challenge!
