American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learn Course
The combination of online learning coupled with hands-on classroom training offers a complete learning experience and meets the requirements for OSHA-approved certification.

American Red Cross CPR/AED for professional rescuers with First Aid, and Administering Emergency Oxygen Blended Learn Course
The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (CPRO) program trains professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This course has been recently updated to current International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) guidelines, including the American Red Cross Aquatic Guidelines and Best Practices. The Aquatic Guidelines and Best Practices are based on the results of scientific evidence evaluations and guideline reviews overseen by the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.
The term professional rescuer refers to those with a duty to act. These professions include EMS professionals, nurses, physicians, CNAs, and other healthcare and public safety personnel, as well as those in the athletic training and recreation fields, including lifeguards. Through these courses, we're able to keep you up to date on the latest techniques, so you can maintain certifications and deliver the best possible care in an emergency. Course content includes knowledge and skills for providing emergency care for adults, children, and infants in:
- Rapid Assessment
- Giving Ventilations using a resuscitation mask
- Using a Bag-Valve-Mask Resuscitator (two rescuers)
- CPR and AED (single-rescuer, two rescuer, and multiple-rescuer team response with 4 rescuers)
- Obstructed Airway Care (responsive and unresponsive)

The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergency injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid and AEO valid for 2 years. This class is a Blended Training (online + in-person training)

Prerequisites:
- Minimum age: 15 years;
- Complete a swim-tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both.
- Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

This class is an abbreviated renewal class and will be completed in just 1 day. Your skills must be at or above the required levels. Practice before class is strongly encouraged! To participate in the recertification course participants must possess a Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid (current certification or certification expired by no more than 30 days). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid with AEO valid for 2 years.

The Lifeguarding Instructor course trains instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses including Lifeguarding Shallow Water Lifeguarding Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding Waterpark Skills Waterfront Skills CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the first in-person session of the instructor course.

Prerequisites:
1. Minimum age: 17 years
2. Possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
3. Ability to successfully demonstrate all Lifeguarding and CPR skills including a precourse assessment to perform a water rescue (submerged drowning) extrication single rescuer CPR for 3 minutes.
This blended learning Instructor recertification course is the required course for all Lifeguarding Instructors to re-certify. During this course, Lifeguarding Instructors will participate in an in-water practice and polish skills session and practice teaching in addition to a classroom-based review of Red Cross administrative policies and procedures. Lifeguarding Instructors may also choose to attend a brief "test out" session following this course to gain a basic-level Lifeguarding certification.
