Our Safety Around Water program for children ages 3-12 years and aims to ensure that youth who qualify through a swim evaluation receive vital water safety skills to ensure that, upon completion, they can meet swim goals.
Program runs seasonally during the summer in conjunction with summer camp.
The Program
This free program includes:
✔️ Free swim safety lessons for children aged 3-12 who qualify through a swim evaluation
✔️ Successful completion of lesson goal outcomes to include specific skills including (1) children will know what do if they fall into the water (2) how to float on their back (3) perform a safe, basic water rescue from the edge of the pool (4) swim on their front and roll into a back float an (5) jump into pool, swim and return to the wall
✔️ Youth membership for 8-week duration of the classes to encourage practice with family.
The Impact
Our Safety Around Water Program has impacted 2,910+ children and their families since the program inception in 2017.
