River Crossing YMCA offers before and after school care for children through 5th grade in Nazareth, PA, with activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth based on PA Early Learning Standards.
Bused (through contract with Jennings Transportation) to and from the following Nazareth Area School District and other regional, private and parochial schools:
• Kenneth N. Butz Jr. Elementary
• Floyd R. Shafer Elementary
• Lower Nazareth Elementary
• Nazareth Area Intermediate School

Program Offerings
Before & After School Care
Before and after school care is provided on site at the school and includes youth programs, healthy snacks, homework time and physical activity.
6:30AM to start of school
End of school day to 6PM
All-Inclusive Care
All-Inclusive Care covers before and after school, half days, and most full days off for one monthly price.
Day Off School Camp
Kids enjoy a fun day of traditional camp activities including art, music, sports, games and swimming during a scheduled day off from school.
2025/2026 Monthly Rates
We offer convenient monthly rates for before and after school child care, providing quality care at an affordable cost for your family. Financial Assistance is available.

About the Curriculum
The curriculum follows Creative Curriculum Early Learning Standards and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) supporting growth and development of youth in seven key learning areas: Literacy, Science, Math/Problem Solving, Arts, Social Competence, Fitness/Nutrition, and Technology. This curriculum supports a unique learning environment that stimulates a child's curiosity while reinforcing essential academic standards.
