The Y has support for every step of your weight loss journey. Here's how to maximize the free-to-member and paid resources available at River Crossing YMCA. 

  1. Make a plan. Explore our Tools to Get You Started webpage to see available wellness resources.
  2. Know where you are starting. Schedule an InBody scan and consultation with a fitness professional consulatation. Get a baseline body composition assessment and set personalized goals with a YMCA fitness professional.
  3. Create an activity plan by taking a tour of your Y. While some find success in sticking with their favorite activity others report that diversifying their workouts and trying new things is key! Take a tour of your Y to determine where your interests lie: fitness center, weight room, aquatics center, group exercise classes, basketball and pickleball in the gymnasium...the Y has something for everyone to stay active. 
  4. Create a workout plan:

    1. Looking to workout in the YMCA fitness center? Book a Fitness Equipment Orientation to learn how to use cardio machines, strength equipment and safe techniques in the Wellness Center.
    2. Need the help of a personal trainer? Browse personal training options and reach out through our inquiry form here.

Healthy Lifestyles is a free, 12-week program focusing on weight loss and chronic disease prevention in adults. This program empowers participants to improve their physical health and overall well-being by adopting behavioral change strategies through regular physical activity, nutrition education and social support.
