On December 16, 47 military Veterans (and or spouses) attended the Veterans Wellness Pathway program graduation ceremony at the Doylestown branch. The Veterans Wellness Pathway is a 12-week program designed specifically for military veterans and spouses/partners to learn exercises, skills and techniques to build healthy mind and body habits.

During the winter of 2023, Sean Straub completed Healthy Horizons, the 12-week donor-funded YMCA Pathway program for individuals in recovery and mental health rehabilitation. Coming into the program, Sean knew little about how important exercise and community connection were in maintaining his recovery and his mental health. 

On June 24, YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties graduated 59 participants from its Veterans Wellness Pathway, the largest group of graduates since the program’s inception in 2015. The free, donor-supported Veterans Wellness Initiative began as a way to create community and wellness opportunities for Bucks County Veterans.

YMCA summer camps are in full swing here in Bucks and Hunterdon Counties, including our Ability Summer Camp at the Doylestown branch. 

On Wednesday, June 21, leaders from YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties and The GIANT Company gathered at the Y’s Morrisville Youth Education Center and YMCA Camp Bucks in Holland to celebrate an expansion of our partnership to address childhood hunger in Bucks County.
